Club Support Programme – Vacancies
Following a new Club Support Programme launched by sportscotland this year, seven part-time club coach and club development roles have been created to support clubs throughout each region.
These posts will help build much needed capacity within clubs, to support (not replace) volunteers, and create more sustainable structures that enable clubs to grow participation, sustain or grow their membership, and put them in a stronger position to better serve their communities.
At the heart of the programme there is a simple aim to have stronger, safer, sustainable, and more inclusive sports clubs and community organisations, so that more, and more diverse, people can participate, progress and achieve in sport.

HISA Region - Coach Developer
The Highlands & Islands Squash Association supports the growth of the sport in the Highlands region and is managed by a board of Trustees. In partnership with Scottish Squash and sportscotland, Sutherland Squash Club and HISA are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Coach Developer to support squash coaches/clubs across the Highland region.
The Role
The role will provide accessible and consistent mentoring and development to coaches who can face challenges accessing support due to the geographical size and rural nature of the Highlands. The Coach Developer will work with coaches to build confidence, improve coaching practice, develop sustainable club programmes and increase coaching capacity. A particular focus will be on juniors and women & girls participation, alongside developing a connected network of coaches across the region.
- Location: Highland region, with a blend of in-person and online support
- Salary: Circa £12,000 (based on an average of 10 hours per week)
- Contract: This position is for an initial 3 year consultancy role
The role is a part-time position (based on 10 hours per week)
Working hours are flexible
This role may require occasional weekend and evening work
Grampian Region - Regional Development Coach
Ellon Meadows Squash Club is an ambitious squash club, recently formed as a result of a successful junior development programme across Grampian. Building on this early momentum, the club is now looking to bring dedicated coaching and development support to Ellon Meadows while also supporting the growth of Banchory and Garioch Squash Clubs.
The Role
The Club Development Officer will develop and deliver a sustainable, year-round coaching programme across Ellon Meadows, Banchory and Garioch Squash Clubs, based primarily at Ellon Meadows. The postholder will grow and diversify membership – with a particular focus on junior players, schools engagement, and women and girls’ participation through the HIIT Squash model – while supporting, mentoring and developing the volunteer workforce across all three clubs.
- Location: Ellon Meadows Squash Club
- Part-time: Based on an average of 10 paid hours per week.
- Salary: Circa £10,500 per annum.
- Contract: Consultant basis, Three-year funded position, with potential for extension, subject to funding and performance.
Tayside & Fife - Club Development Officer
Dalgety Bay Squash Club is an ambitious squash club with a committed group of junior, senior and masters players looking to grow. This is a new role for the club, created to bring dedicated coaching and development support to Dalgety Bay while also supporting the growth of Dunfermline Squash Club.
The Role
The Club Development Officer will develop and deliver a sustainable, year-round coaching programme across Dalgety Bay and Dunfermline Squash Clubs, based primarily at Dalgety Bay. The postholder will build a junior development pathway from beginner to competitive level, grow local community and school engagement, mentor volunteers into coaching roles, and support both clubs to grow their membership whilst becoming more inclusive and sustainable.

- Part-time: 10 paid hours per week
- Salary: Based on £10,000 per annum
- Contract: Consultant basis, three-year funded position, with potential for extension, subject to funding and performance.The successful candidate will be a contractor for Scottish Squash.

Central - Head Squash Coach
Bridge of Allan Squash Coach Job Description
Bridge of Allan Sports Club has an active and established squash community, supported by part-time coaches and a strong cohort of junior, senior and masters’ players, including players who represent Scotland at national level. The successful candidate will work closely with the existing coaching team, Club Committee and Admin Team to build on these strengths and deliver a coordinated, sustainable coaching programme for the club and wider community.
The Role
Bridge of Allan Sports Club is seeking an energetic, ambitious and community-focused Head Squash Coach to lead squash coaching, player development and participation across Bridge of Allan, Stirling and Dunblane. Working primarily from Bridge of Allan Sports Club, you will deliver and develop a high-quality coaching programme, grow participation, strengthen school and community links, and create clear pathways for junior and adult players. You will play a central role in establishing the club as a hub for squash coaching, participation and player development across the wider central region. This is an exciting opportunity for a coach who is passionate about developing players at all levels, from introducing beginners to the sport through to supporting competitive athletes who want to progress.
- Location: Bridge of Allan Sports Club, with activity across Bridge of Allan, Stirling and Dunblane
- Consultancy Fee: £24,200 per annum, based on an average commitment of 21 hours per week
- Contract: Three-year funded consultancy position, with potential to continue beyond the initial term, subject to funding, performance and mutual agreement
West - Club Development Officer
SSRC Club Development Officer Job Description
Scottish Squash Rackets Club (SSRC), in partnership with Allander Squash Club and Scotstoun Eagles Squash Club, is seeking an enthusiastic Club Development Officer to support squash development across the north of Glasgow.
The north of Glasgow has been identified by Scottish Squash as a priority area for growth and development. The three clubs are working together to increase participation, strengthen coaching provision, grow junior sections, and create more opportunities for women and girls to engage with squash. The successful candidate will work across all three venues to develop sustainable programmes and create clear pathways into the sport.
The Role
The north of Glasgow Squash Cluster is seeking an ambitious and motivated Club Development Officer to lead participation growth, community engagement, school outreach and coaching development across SSRC, Allander Squash Club and Scotstoun Eagles Squash Club.
Working closely with club leads, volunteers, Scottish Squash and local partners, you will deliver and develop programmes that increase participation among juniors, women and girls, and new players. You will play a key role in creating a connected squash pathway across the north of Glasgow, helping clubs become stronger, more sustainable and more inclusive.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about squash coaching and wants to make a lasting impact within local clubs and communities.

East - Club Development Coach
Grange Club Coach Job Description
The Grange Squash Club is seeking an energetic, ambitious and community-focused Squash Coach to lead the regeneration of squash coaching, player development and participation at the club. The successful candidate will provide a minimum of 15 hours per week of paid consultancy to assist in the regeneration of The Grange Squash Club, this will be a mixture of coaching hours, planning and outreach.
A key focus will be the organisation, promotion and delivery of a Junior Academy for players up to 19, alongside Squash Stars, beginner, improver and elite sessions across weekends and midweek. You will work with local schools, other sports, coaches, members and parents to introduce squash to as many young people as possible and build an inclusive junior section centred on fun, achievement and good behaviour.
In addition, you will look to develop and promote adult beginner and improver coaching, team sessions, graded competitions and school holiday camps with an equal focus on both members and non-members. Assisting with the organisation and delivery of The Grange Open and The Grange Junior Open will also be a part of the role.
This is an exciting opportunity for a coach who is passionate about developing players at all levels and who wants to help create a robust and sustainable squash structure for the long term. The successful candidate will be encouraged to build relationships with coaching resources locally and across the wider Scottish squash community, increase membership and competitive participation, develop national team pathways and create sustainable revenue streams. There is scope to increase contracted hours as the programme grows, alongside opportunities to deliver individual coaching with free courts and develop a long-term career at The Grange Club.

South West - Regional Development Coach

Within the Dumfries and Galloway area there are six squash clubs; Dumfries SRC, Laurieknowe SRC, Lockerbie SC, Kirkcudbright SC, Stewartry Community Sports Club, and Thornhill Squash Club.
We are seeking an energetic, ambitious and community-focused Regional Development Squash Coach to lead squash coaching, player development and participation across the Dumfries & Galloway area. Working primarily from Dumfries Squash and Racketball Club, you will deliver and develop a high-quality coaching programme, grow participation, strengthen school and community links, and create clear pathways for junior and adult players. You will play a central role in establishing the club as a hub for squash coaching, participation and player development across the wider central region. This is an exciting opportunity for a coach who is passionate about developing players at all levels, from introducing beginners to the sport through to supporting competitive athletes who want to progress.
