Men’s Team Announced for Euro’s

Scotland’s Men have been preparing hard at Heriot Watt for this years European Team Championships with high hopes of finally making it on to the podium. There have been lots of changes in the camp lately with Paul Bell being appointed as National Coach and Martin Heath joining us as Interim Elite Performance Coach. The impact has been instant with a great feel and confidence in the players who are eager to perform on the European stage. This confidence was demonstrated last week as the Ladies senior team claimed the European Teams Division 3 Title.

The headline of the team selection was the inclusion of Chris Leiper who will be making his Scotland Senior debut at the championships. Chris has made the commitment to improving his squash this season moving to Edinburgh from Aberdeen to train at Heriot Watt in the centralised programme. This decision has taken his game to the next level training with the nations top players and receiving quality holistic coaching daily has been key to his success on making the senior team.

Scotland will be in Pool A facing stiff competition from defending champions France, Spain and Ireland. The draw and timings have not yet been finalised but you can keep up to date with the teams progress through our twitter feed and on the website.
