COVID-19 – Squash Coaches in Scotland

Below is a copy of information released to qualified coaches in Scotland in regards to the current Coronavirus pandemic.

Dear coach,

Following the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic Scottish Squash recognise the impact this situation is having on the sport sector and in particular coaches that operate in squash. At this stage we write to you to let you know that we are working closely with our lead investor, sportscotland, and other partners to look at how we can best support coaches during this exceptionally difficult time.

As you will be aware, we are waiting for further information from the UK & Scottish Government to understand the potential support that will be made available to those self-employed. Once this has been confirmed and released we will aim to communicate further details with coaches.

Going forward any further communication and wider support packages on this will be released to our licenced coaches. If you have not registered for your coach licence we recommend completing this immediately. Full information and an online application can be found here.

In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact Allan McKay (Head of Coaching & Competitions) by e-mail (allan.mckay@scottishsquash.org) or telephone (07483 908 890) if we can support further at this stage.
