Squash Activator Award
“I want to get people playing squash and having fun by supporting coaching sessions at my club.”
Available on demand to clubs or groups of clubs with six participants or more, the Squash Activator Award prepares participants to be deployed as a Coaching Assistant, or to support as a parent helper or volunteer. This one-day course is ideal if for people looking to develop confidence in supporting sessions, or hoping to introduce friends and family to the game. This course is perfect for anyone who is keen to help out with the coaching or increase participation at your local club or facility.
Delivery Method: Face-to-face Learning
The course will be completed in five hours, with participants feeling confident in supporting coaching sessions.
The Activator course is the best way to grow a coaching team at your club.

Pre-Requisites
- Aged 14 years or older, clubs may put 13-year-olds forward for the award based on assessment of maturity
Course Duration
The course lasts five hours, with no follow-up coursework.

Course Cost
The course costs £40 per person.
Fees must be paid in advance of the in-person day.
In order to support the running of the course, please note the following refund policy:
Cancel 30 days prior: Full refund
14-29 days prior: 75% refund
8-13 days prior: 50% refund
7 days or fewer prior: No refund given
EDI Subsidy
sportscotland EDI subsidy funding is available for candidates from the following under-represented groups:
- Women and Girls
- Young people (Under 25)
The funding covers 80% of the Level 1 course, making it just £40 for eligible individuals!
