Scottish Squash Launches the Scottish Squash Cup
Scottish Squash is delighted to announce a brand-new event on the national calendar, the Scottish Squash Cup, launching for its inaugural event in 2026.
This exciting new knockout competition will bring clubs together from across the country in a fresh, dynamic format open to all levels, designed to encourage inter-club participation on the national stage. The cup event replaces the former National League structure and creates a refreshed pathway for players and teams to compete nationally in a fun, team-based environment.

- Men’s Teams: 4 players – £20 entry
- Women’s Teams: 3 players – £15 entry
- Qualification rounds (as required) with play-by dates [Spring 2026]

The top four teams in each draw will advance to a Finals Day, a thrilling Saturday climax featuring the best players in Scotland battling through the semi-finals and finals. Scottish Squash are delighted to confirm Edinburgh Sports Club will host Finals Day for the current season, with a feature event taking place on Saturday 06 June 2026.
Beyond domestic success, the cup also provides a fantastic opportunity to compete internationally — the chance for the winning teams to represent their club at the European Club Championships as Scottish Champions in Autumn 2026. In recent years, Scotland’s top teams have had great experiences travelling to Germany, London and Austria for the annual event, with Edinburgh Sports Club securing a bronze medal in September 2025.
On the news of the cup announcement, Scottish Squash Performance Pathway Manager Paul Bell commented: “The Scottish Squash Cup is an exciting new format for players to get involved in and reflects our continued work to develop the competitions framework in Scotland. We hope the competition will inspire more players to compete outside their locality, and we look forward to seeing this event strengthen the player pathway with a fresh challenge.”
