Revised Masters Ranking Points Structure Announced

Scottish Squash is pleased to announce a revised ranking points structure, implemented for the 2025/26 season and designed to reflect the introduction of Monrad draw formats across the Masters Regional Circuit and Masters National Championships.

The new structure ensures that ranking points are awarded consistently in line with the revised competition formats, giving players clarity on how results will impact their national standing. Rankings remain an important element of the selection criteria for the Masters Home Internationals, helping to provide a fair and transparent process for representative opportunities.

Key Info
  • The revised structure offers points for a finishing place in the top 16 at a qualifying tournament. The larger the draw, the higher points for finishing first, however finishing last will receive zero place points.
  • A point will be gained per match and game won in a qualifying tournament (maintained from previous system), regardless of finishing position.
  • A new 1.25x multiplier is in place for British, European Championships and World Championships (note: excluding British Nationals 25-26)
  • A 1.5x multiplier remains in place for the Scottish Masters National Championships.
  • Top 4 results count towards a player’s ranking.
  • The draw formats and regulations for Masters Regional competitions can be found in section 2.4 of ADM10-G03 Regulations for Sanctioned Competitions.
