Quarter-Finalists to be decided at Oriam

The seeds come into play on Day Two at Oriam, with top seeds Lucy Turmel and Alan Clyne featuring in the first women’s and men’s matches on the show court.

Turmel is one of three English players seeded to reach the quarters, and meets Aika, the younger of the two Azman sisters from Malaysia in the last sixteen. Scotland is guaranteed at least one quarterfinalist with Lucie MurchieGeorgia Adderley and Alison Thomson in action, the latter two against each other.

The day concludes with the second seeds, France’s Melissa Alvesand Spain’s Edmon Lopez in action on the showcourt, but the smart money will be on 9-time Danish champion Kristian Frost and Wales’ Emyr Evans – younger brother of British champion Tesni – being last off court.

Round two begins at noon with play again on two courts, with free entry for students and children.
