PVG FAQ’s

I have a PVG with another organisation, do I still need to apply for PVG with Scottish Squash?

Yes, individuals must have a PVG with every regulatory body they work/volunteer for if they are in a regulated role. For example, a teacher who is also a tennis and squash coach would require three separate PVG’s, one with the school, one with Tennis Scotland and one with Scottish Squash.

What is the difference between a Scheme Record and a Scheme Record Update?

A Scheme Record is for anyone who isn’t currently a PVG Scheme member. A Scheme record update is for people who are already PVG scheme members and need to add another regulatory body to their membership.

If I change the club I volunteer at do I need to apply for a new PVG?

No, having a PVG with Scottish Squash allows you to volunteer/work at any affiliated club but you would need to inform us of the new club you are going to be working/volunteering for so we can update our records.

How do I know if I am in a regulated role?

Please see our regulated roles here. If you cant see your role there you can use the Disclosure Scotland PVG Checker Tool. Still unsure? Get in touch with us – info@scottishsquash.org
