To begin the Top 8 phase Scotland faced Wales for a place in the semi-finals. Despite 3 close games, it was the Welsh team who progressed to the final 4, while Scotland were left to play Czech Republic in the 1st of 2 fixtures to determine final positions.

In a similar fashion to their previous game, Scotland found themselves on the wrong end of a 2-1 score line in a match against Czech Republic that could have gone either way. However, not feeling hard done by, the squad entered their final game with confidence knowing victory over Denmark would earn them 7th place.

Finishing the Championships as they had begun, the Scottish team secured a well earned 2-1 win to end in 7th place.

England took home gold with victory over France and Switzerland claimed Bronze having defeated Wales.
