Team Scotland v Rest of The World Squash Series

Some of the world’s best squash players, including current world number one male player Gregory Gaultier, will be in Scotland next week as a Rest of the World team takes on Scotland.

A first event of its kind in this country, the Team Scotland v Rest of The World Squash Series will be played in Glasgow (Newlands Lawn Tennis Club) on Monday, August 21 and Edinburgh (Edinburgh Sports Club) on Tuesday, August 22, with both venues near sell-outs.

Scotland’s Alan Clyne, Greg Lobban and Lisa Aitken will take on France legend Gregory Gaultier, world number 12 male player Paul Coll from New Zealand and the USA’s number one female player Olivia Blatchford.

Tournament organiser Kevin Moran said: “The response to the event has been brilliant and I would like to thank all the players for finding room in their tight schedules to compete in this squash series.

“It’s not often the Scottish public get an opportunity to see some of the best players in the world compete on home turf. It should be a great couple of days.

“Given how well tickets have sold, hopefully we can stage more events like this in the future.”

There are limited VIP packages available ahead of next week. For more information contact Kevin Moran via email on kevinmoran03@hotmail.com or call Kevin on 07720 398 758.

A few tickets for general sale remain and can be purchased for Edinburgh here and Glasgow here.
