Junior Excellence Programme
- The JEP has been refined and developed however the central
philosophy and methodology of the programme has not altered
since its inception.
- An appropriate relationship has been developed between
the programme and Area Institutes of Sport.
- An appropriate training and competition calendar has been
devised.
- Academy squad of 17 has been chosen with appropriate planning
and support put in place.
- High Performance Programme put in place consisting of
four squads and 45 participants.
- An appropriate selection criterion for representative
events has been established and publicised.
Competitive results:
- World Junior Women's Championships conducted in Cairo,
Egypt with Team finishing in 12th position and Lauren Gray
making round of 32 in the Individual event.
- Academy squad competed in Nordic Junior Open with two
event winners and four semi-finalists across all age groups.
Senior Programme
- An appropriate selection criterion for representative
events has been established and publicised.
- All senior players in realistic contention for both men's
and women's World and European Teams Championships have
been individually contacted with appropriate needs analysis
conducted and support commenced.
- Trials conducted for World Men's Team Championships, O'Hara
and Frankland joining the pre-selected White and Heath.
- Men's rankings published.
- An appropriate relationship with the SIS established with
Wendy Maitland and Martin Heath joining John White and Pam
Nimmo as SIS members.
- TAP funding application and review process established.
Competitive Results:
- World Men's Team Championships conducted in Vienna, Austria
with team finishing in seventh position.
