STATEMENT TWO
The above will apply to Scottish Squash endorsed doubles events.
STATEMENT THREE
All Scottish Squash accredited coaches who are employed or
contracted to Scottish Squash will actively encourage all
players aged under 19 years, under their supervision, to wear
approved eye protection. This policy only applies to activities
that take place on a squash court and involves squash rackets
and balls.
SCOTTISH SQUASH JUNIOR SELECTED TEAMS 06/07
Any player selected to represent Scotland in a team or squad
(aged under 19 years) must wear approved eye protection, which
complies with Scottish Squash’s approved requirements.
This will apply to European/World/Commonwealth and Home International
Championships. Any requirements for other competitions must
be agreed with Scottish Squash.
The wearing of approved eye protection will apply to all
activities which take place on a squash court involving rackets
and balls during the period when junior players are officially
under the supervision of a Scottish Squash employee or contracted
supervisor.
THE USE OF EYE PROTECTION
1. Only eyewear which complies with this Eye Protection Policy
will be deemed suitable by Scottish Squash.
2. Lenseless protective eyewear is not endorsed by the Scottish
Squash Eye Protection Policy.
3. Protective eyewear must be worn in a manner which will
protect the eyes from impact from a racket or a squash ball.
4. The World Squash Federation (WSF) made protective eyewear
compulsory in all doubles and under 19 junior events. The
number of players on a squash court during a doubles match
significantly increases the chance of eye injury.
5. If a player, aged under 19 plays in a Scottish Squash sanctioned
senior squash event this policy will apply.
6. Scottish Squash will review this Eye Protection Policy
on an annual basis.
7. Any junior squash players (aged under 19 years) representing
Scotland or Scottish Squash overseas will be expected to adhere
to this eye protection policy.

Whilst every effort has been made to ensure the information
in this policy is accurate, Scottish Squash cannot accept
