Regional Development Officer (Fixed Term) – 22.5 hours per week

Salary: £21,000-£24,000 pro-rata depending on experience

Hours: Part-time (22.5 hours per week)
Duration: Fixed term until end March 2018

The Regional Development Officer (RDO) is a key member of the Scottish Squash & Racketball Development Team, implementing the regional development plan in the East and West regions. The RDO will have a passion for increasing and sustaining participation in squash, supporting the Regional Development Manager(s) to enhance sports development structures in the region(s) and working with performance coaches to embed talented athlete pathways. The RDO will be responsible for delivering agreed projects and initiatives to significantly increase the number of people playing the sport in the region(s). The role will involve close liaison with the work of coaches, volunteers and clubs in the region(s).

Whilst operating within the defined geographical area(s), the role may also involve wider support to other team members and will involve working in multiple environments, including community partners, local authorities, clubs, indoor centres, schools, colleges and universities.

The RDO will support the development of squash people, places and products in the region(s), inspiring people from all backgrounds and working to ensure squash is a more equal and inclusive sport.

Child Protection Officer (Fixed Term) – 10 hours per week

Salary: £10,000 per annum based upon 10 hours per week

Hours: Part-time (10 hours per week)
Duration: Fixed term until end March 2018
Deadline: 12noon on Thursday 29th June

The Child Protection Officer (CPO) will lead SSRL to ensure there are policies, procedures, systems, structures, resources and personnel in place to promote the welfare and protection of children taking part in squash and racketball. The CPO will actively work jointly with local clubs and other agencies through joint planning, training and monitoring of their arrangements for the protection of children, and ensure there are quality assurance mechanisms in place to monitor, review and evaluate arrangements for the protection of children.
